I used to stay awake in the evening on my divans thinking about how I could crash out! Seriously; I did, it absolutely was no joke. During anytime in the day could be helpful, but specifically in the evening just before you would like to get to sleep.
If possible, choose to sleep on mattress in your spare room (in case you have one) in case you normally sleep with a partner. Sometimes the stress of thinking you are keeping somebody else awake since you can't sleep acts as a vicious loop and gets you more stressed. Try some over-the-counter herbal/natural solutions. If they don't work for yourself at least they will not have had any unpleasant side effects & you can quit taking them immediately. You don't need to wean yourself off them.Try; when possible, to sleep when you feel tired- even when it seems unsociable. At least sleep when you're able to & then try out some of the earlier mentioned ideas once you are not so fractious. Try alternative remedies for instance reflexology, Acupuncture or massage. These work on your brain, body & spirit and may perfectly get through to the root of the problem without needless medication.
