Make Rap & Hip Hop Beats In Less Than 10 Minutes
I spend a large amount of time making videos for my web sites and one of the issues I run into all of the time is finding background music to play during the video. Due to copyright and other legal concerns, its not feasible to use real music that you would download from iTunes in the videos. I know many people do this, but its just not the right thing to do.
Hence to find background tracks, it's necessary to search the internet, sometimes for hours, to find the right tunes. The thing is, finding royalty free music is not like finding the proper image for a site or a video. With pictures, you can load up one hundred or even more photographs on your browser and quickly view them all. Its easy to find the best picture.
But with music tracks, you should hear each audio individually which takes a huge quantity of time and energy. Clicking on a WAV or MP3 file, waiting for the player to fire up, then listening to twenty or 30 seconds and realizing that it isn't what I actually desire. So you have to shut the player off and go to the following file and begin the process over again. It actually takes about half a minute to a minute to hear a single track. Listening to fifty or 60 tracks to find the one that you desire whenever you make a new video and you can see it issue.
As you probably know, you dont actually need a big band playing in the background on these videos. All you actually need is an easy beat with just a bit chord structure. The wonderful thing is I have found that rap beats and hiphop beats work well for this sort of video.
There are many programs online that will simply let you make beats for rap or make beats for hip hop, jazz, jungle or whatever you desire. So I purchased one of those programs and downloaded it on my PC. The promo in particular asserted that you might create your first beat in about ten minutes ( which is a little stretch because the introduction tutorial video was forty minutes long ), but after I watched the start up video they were right on. It took me only about 10 minutes to get it going.
I do have a little music background, so I understand the basic idea of music, beats and chord structure, but even if you have got no music background at all I suspect its feasible to make beats for rap and hip hop with no difficulty at all .
Not being a rap or hip-hop artist myself, I wondered whether or not it were feasible to create simpler and slower beats with this software, and to my amazement it wasn't a difficulty at all . With rap and hip hop, the strong beat hits on the first and third beat of the bar. As an example, if you count a beat out in hip hop for 2 bars ( 8 beats ) it would sound like this ( concentrate on the words in caps ) : ONE two THREE four ONE two THREE four. But if you create swing or jazz beats you would do exactly the reverse : one TWO three FOUR one TWO three FOUR. Make the beat a little less articulated and add some brass or violins over the beat, run it for approximately sixteen bars and then repeat the loop.
I'm able to make a background track with drums, horns, and violins for my videos now in about a 30 minutes. Way cool. As an example, the video below has the first track that I created. It is not the best, but its a good example of how easy it is to form beats for rap or hiphop.
