Basic Guitar Lessons: THE GUITAR BASICS

Tune it up. It is really important to tune your guitar before you start playing. Although, at first, this may be a difficult task, it becomes easier over time. If you have friends you plays the guitar, they can do this job for you. You can also buy a tuner. Tuners can make playing sound nice. It listens to the sound of each string and guides you on what to do to get the notes in tune.
Familiarize your guitar tabs. Guitar tabs are considered to be guitarist's own system of musical notation. The main idea is to visualize the tab similarly to that of your string and each number tells you which fret to hold down when plucking the string. It is also important to remember the string arrangement. A pneumonic of your own is a big help (for example: EveryBody Gets Dinner At Eight).
Fingers on the right frets. A left-handed guitarist utilized his right hand for fretting and uses his left hand for picking. Simply press your finger down in between the metal strips and not on them. For instance, if you are playing the second fret, you place your finger on the string between the first and second metal strip. Hold the string firmly so that it will vibrate between your finger and your strumming hand. Put your fingers as close to the fret as possible to create an excellent sound.
Practice the chords. Most people love playing chords or the group of notes that sound good together. It involves using your pick to hit at least two notes on the instrument at the same time. Practice until you can move comfortably between them and still retaining your rhythm.
