String Lamps - The Most Entertainment Outdoor Lights In The Marketplace
I'll never forget, on the first night time of every family camping trip, the first light of those cherished snazzy string lights we had made it easier for mother to suspend from tree to tree earlier that afternoon.
It had been always the same emotion when their soft but jolly light fell on the ground around us... It was time to be having a good time!
That's string lights for anyone. Soon as they begin, you just feel like beaming. And any individual that has hung these types of festive lighting and enjoyed that atmosphere knows what I'm saying.
But during those times, unless you had been camping or throwing an open air Hawaiian luau, the string lamps mostly settled in a box, just gathering dust particles in the attic.
These days people don't have need of big occasions to hang all these little marvels but have made them fixed lighting materials as a part of their landscape decor. And everyone is loving string lights as never before.
And it thrills me to notice them becoming so popular. As a kid, I just never understood why we only used them on our camping out trips. We had the very small multi-colored Chinese lantern type and they made the most beautiful glow on our faces as everyone sat beneath them telling ghost stories.
Today, there are so many styles of string lamps you can buy, and all of them ready to make any corner of your lawn a very fun place to be. And not just for an occasional party, but every night!
When my parents passed away, I asked for those outdated Chinese lantern string lighting my mother had strung so often through so many years. Though dusty, obsolete and torn, and most of the bulbs burned out as well, they hold so many fond recollections of our family's tenting trips, they are valuable to me.
And in a private part of my backyard, I have hung some very similar Chinese lanterns. And it's the spot everyone's congregates to, faces aglow, conversation lively... Just fun all in all.
