Get away for Valentine's Day
Everyday life can really leave you with little time to take care of your marriage properly. It can be difficult setting aside enough time to keep a marriage strong. You would likely benefit from taking a short getaway trip, especially on Valentine's Day. It can really be beneficial taking a trip in the middle of winter when everything is gloomy.
After you've made the decision to take a trip, you need to decide where to go. A lot will depend on how much time you can be away as well as the type of climate you want to experience. Would to prefer to go to ski country where you can snuggle up by a roaring fire, or would you rather head for the warmer areas of the world? Once again, it will depend on the amount of time you have for a trip. If you only have a long weekend to devote, then you need to find a destination close to home.
One type of trip you can look into is a stay at a Bed and Breakfast. There will be great rooms to stay in and plenty of amenities. You could do things like taking a dip in the jacuzzi or eating a gourmet dinner in front of the fire all while reconnecting romantically. You'll find that the cost of a bed and breakfast will depend on many things like location and amenities.
Some websites will suggest romantic Valentine's trips to foreign countries or to places halfway across the country, but it isn't necessary to take a trip that costly in order to spend time alone together. You could even take a break and stay in a local hotel for the weekend. You should be able to find suitable resort areas in your state or one of the surrounding ones. Cruise lines are going to try and convince you that you have to book with them in order to have a delightful getaway, but you'll find that there are nice spots to go within a couple of hours of home.
